TAMPA, FL - On-line cabinet seller Kitchen Resource Direct says it is working with the Ocala National Forest to plant trees representing each kitchen cabinetry purchase.

Cabinetry Shop Plants A Tree for Each Cabinet SoldCustomers who buy a kitchen on line will receive an official Ocala National Forest Plant-A-Tree Certificate thanking them for their support.

“It’s more than just going green,” says Benjamin Gordon, VP Kitchen Resource Direct. “It’s about replenishing our natural resources that are so important for our businesses, our lives, and our Earth.”

Benjamin says he gained inspiration from Blake Mycoskie’s TOMS Shoes One for One campaign, which provides a free pair of shoes to a needy person for each customer purchase.

Kitchen Resource Direct, based in Tampa, sells ready-to-assemble and assembled kitchens cabinets from various sources. For example, its 10x10-foot Deerfield assembled kitchen cabinet design retails at $3,106.
For the green tie in, Kitchen Resource Direct has created a  microsite for its effort: KitchenResourceDirect.com/krd-plant-a-tree
