Big Turnout at LamTech Recruitment Event
MasterBrand Plant Closing ‘Shocks’ LamTech

MARTINSVILLE, VA - Laminate Technologies (LamTech) hosted more than 160 people looking for work at its "Targeted Recruitment Event" last week.

Up to 10 people are being sought to work in the company's laminate department, according to the Martinsville Bulletin, quoting Plant Manager Randy Walker. The facility, formerly used by Owens-Corning, is expected to create a total of 30 jobs.

Woodworking Network reported last month that LamTech, a manufacturer of custom laminated panels and fabricated components, will invest more than $2 million to open the manufacturing facility.

LamTech, headquartered in Tiffin, OH, operates plants in Tiffin; Gallatin, TN; and Diboll, TX. The company offers a wide range of decorative surface products on a wide variety of substrates, as well as valued-added services such as cut-to-size, drilling, CNC routing, T-moldinig and private label packaging.

LamTech, founded in 1985, is one of the country's largest privately held custom laminators. With plants currently in OH, TX and TN, the new VA manufacturing facility will be the company's fourth location.
