Bassett Furniture Names Loper New VPBASSETT, VA — Bassett Furniture has named Renee Loper as vice president of independent retail business development and marketing. The residential furniture and case goods manufacturer said Loper will lead initiatives to distribute and expand the Bassett and HGTV Home brands to the open retail market segment. The HGTV Home brand is set to launch in 2012.

Loper has 14 years experience in the field, including director of marketing and communications at aspenhome residential furniture company.

“We are excited to have Renee on our management team to support these important initiatives for the future growth of our company,” Rob Spilman, president and CEO of Bassett said in a statement. “Renee brings a track record of success in building brands that will help us achieve our goals.”

In addition to its manufacturing operations, the company has 90 licensee and company-owned Bassett Home Furnishings stores and a network of 450 independent dealers.
