ROCHESTER, NY - Austrialian door hardware manufacturer Brio has opened a U.S. plant in Rochster, NY. The company incorporated as Brio USA Inc in May.

.A supplier of architectural hardware for sliding and folding doors and accessories, Brio was founded in Australia in 1973.

In 1995 RMD Industries acquired the company, investing and rebranding as Brio in 2009. In 2010 Brio opened a subsidiary in the UK, based in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Kevin O'Connor was named president of Brio USA Inc.;Peter Taft is operations manager. Brio sells in 20 countries around the world.

Products include the Brio Weatherfold 4s - a fourth generation Weatherfold architectural hardware system for exterior folding doors. It includes pivot sets, hanger sets, hinge sets, top track, bottom channel, locking and flush bolt options.
