ATHENS, GREECE -- Medwood 2012, the national woodworking show of Greece, is scheduled for  March 29 to April 1 at the new Metropolitan Expo.

Medwood features displays of woodworking machinery, tools, semi-finished products, components and accessories from an international contingent of exhibiting companies.

Medwood organizers say the show's location is close enough for woodworkers to commute to the show for a day by plane "from every country that belongs to the area of Balkans, S.E. Europe and the Middle East."

The previous Medwood, held in 2010, featured 200 exhibitors occupying 17,500 square meters of exhibit space. The show reportedly attracted 12,000 visitors.
