Ashley Furniture HomeStore Sales Exceed $3 BillionLONGVIEW, TX -Ashley Furniture Industries celebrated the opening of its 500th Ashley Furniture HomeStore. 

Ashley says it is the largest U.S. furniture retailer, and its HomeStore opening in Longview, TX will contribute to the revenues. Last year the chain brought in more than $3 billion in furniture sales. 

Ashley Furniture says it plans 50 additional HomeStore openings in 2014, a mix of licensed and company-owned stores that it says has been the number U.S. furniture chain since 2006.

"When the first HomeStore opened in 1997, in Anchorage, Alaska, we were confident," said Todd Wanek, President and CEO of Ashley and Ashley Furniture HomeStore. Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc., is also the largest manufacturer of furniture in North America. Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc., established in 1945, sells through retail partners in 123 countries.  

In April 2013, Ashley Furniture broke ground in Advance, NC on what will eventually be the largest furniture manufacturing and distribution center in the world. It is part of a 5-year, $500 million investment in what will total 3.8 million square feet of manufacturing and distribution space when completed.
