WINCHESTER, VA - Cabinetry manufacturer American Woodmark (NASDAQ: AMWD) sales rose 12% to $169 million, with net sales for the first nine months of the fiscal 2014 up 17% to $537.7 million.
American Woodmark, which sells its Shenandoah line through Lowe's, says growth came in both remodeling and new construction, the latter up a robust 25%. Net income spiked, up 38%.
American Woodmark net income rose 38% to $2.9 million for the quarter and more than tripled to $14.8 million for the first nine months of fiscal 2014, versus $4.6 million for the prior period.
