AkzoNobel Completes Sale of Armoslip Packaging BusinessAMSTERDAM - AkzoNobel announced it has completed the sale of its Primary Amides chemicals business to PMC Group. Financial terms of the December 31 sale were not disclosed.

The sale to PMC includes the manufacturing facility in Kyungju, South Korea, and its 37 employees, along with the erucamide, oleamide and other primary and secondary amides sold under the Armoslip trade names. Primary Amides products are used in package films and bags.

In addition to producing specialty chemicals, AkzoNobel is a global producer of paints and coatings for the wood, automotive, marine and other industries. Wood finishing brands include: Chemcraft, Sikkens, ICLA, Zweihorn. Its line of Casco adhesives include GripPro and LignuPro products.
