SHERWOOD, AR - Custom Aircraft Cabinets (CAC) will expand its cabinets and upholstered furnishings manufacturing at a new plant in Sherwood, AR, hiring 150 and investing $5.9 million.

CAC was founded in North Little Rock in 1989 and has expanded several times over the
years. The new expansion will be to from its existing location in North Little Rock into the former National Home Center building in Sherwood.

 “This newest expansion affords us the opportunity to not only better serve our existing clientele, but to successfully approach other segments of the aircraft interiors maket,” CAC owners Paul Reesnes and Mike Gueringer stated,

The privately held firm says it will double in size, as is already hiring; Custom Aircraft Cabinets, Inc. is currently advertising for multiple positions, including:

• Cabinet Builder - Fabricate aircraft cabinets from composite materials covered in exotic veneers.

• CNC Router Programmer - Experienced CNC router programmer to cut specialized aircraft interiors parts. 

• Finisher - To apply high build clear coat finishes that are sanded and buffed to a high gloss.

Custom Aircraft Cabinets' existing main plant houses offices, warehouse and production space, with three separate tool areas for production of cabinetry; paint booths for small parts painting (seat frames, angles, brackets, etc.); a sheet metal shop and an electrical shop where its does the wiring on its new construction cabinetry.

In addition to turnkey "shipsets" as its semicustom cabinetry is called, it has 15 Catia workstations in its production areas.

Cabinet technicians handle both new cabinet construction as well as refurbishment and are proficient at building cabinetry from both the Catia models and blueprint drawings, the copmpany says at its site.  A finish facility is located one mile from the main plant, housed separately to keep cabinet and foam fabrication dust out of the finish areas.  CAC Inc. also has a large semi down draft spray booth, sanding room, buffing room and heat room.
