LOGAN, UT - A home interior wood refinishing franchiser, Harris Research, Inc., has been acquired from Home Depot by Baird Capital Partners, the U.S.-based buyout fund of Baird Private Equity.

Baird acquired Harris Research, Inc.  from The Home Depot (NYSE: HD) Sept. 8. Financing for the transaction was provided by BMO Harris Bank N.A., BBVA, and Caltius; Baird was joined in the investment by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

Harris Research franchises the N-Hance wood cabinet and flooring renewal service, which features more than 200 franchises. N-Hance wood refinishing is also part of The Home Depot’s kitchen renovations offering, which includes U.S. Homes kitchen cabinetry refacing. 

The Home Depot will continue to offer N-Hance wood refinishing at its retail locations in the United States and Canada, as well as directly to consumers.
