COLUMBIA, SC - Southern Architectural Woodworking will be auctioned Oct. 1, 2014. The company produced high-end architectural woodworking building components recognized nationally as well as regionally for prime high-end craftsmanship, for attention to detail and for bringing experience and woodworking skill to every job, large or small.

At its peak the company employed 70 and was billing $8 million, counting among its customers companies like Bank of America, Deloitte Consulting, Wachovia and multi-city law firms like Smith, Helms, Mulliss & Moore.

They were known throughout the industry for creating everything from simple hospital nursing stations and secretarial kiosks to corporate conference rooms, office suites, doors, trim, staircases, paneling and flooring from Honduras mahogany, walnut, hard maple, cherry and exotic woods.

Founded the company in 1983, the company operated from a 55,000 square foot facility containing a number of well-maintained woodworking machines. Among items to be sold:
