SANDY SPRINGS, GA  - To meet a growing local demand in home woodworking, Rockler Woodworking and Hardware is moving its existing Sandy Springs, GA, store to a new, 10,000 square-foot site down the road.

The new Sandy Springs location, 6690 Roswell Road, more than doubles the floor space of its current location, about half a mile away. The new store will include a demonstration and learning center as well as many new product lines, including metal working equipment and supplies. The new location is expected to open July 29.

“The new store reflects a huge resurgence in home woodworking, both basic and advanced,” said Mike Duggan, Rockler’s vice president and general manager of retail. “People are tackling more home improvement projects themselves and are discovering that, with a little guidance, they are actually very capable and talented.”

The new Sandy Springs store is similar to the Maplewood, Minn. store opened by Rockler in 2013.

The new Sandy Springs location will allow Rockler to feature expanded product selections in various categories, including turning, power tools, finishing, hardware and a new metalworking product line. An enclosed demonstration area will be featured in the middle of the store for customers to see how the tools are used for various projects.

“Woodworking can be intimidating, and our top priority is to ensure that store visitors have the skills as well as the tools necessary to complete their job. The new workshop facility gives us that ability,” said Dugan.

Rockler Woodworking and Hardware has 29 retail locations across the United States as well as catalog and online operations. There are also 60 independent reseller locations throughout the country.
