The more than 10,000-square-foot store, being constructed across the street from its current Maplewood location, is schedule to open on Aug. 24. It will feature expanded lines of stocked product categories including turning, power tools, finishing and hardware. The new Rockler store will also house a glass-enclosed demonstration area in the middle of the store.

“We hope to create an environment where both the beginner and the advanced woodworker will feel comfortable - whether they are starting or completing their project, said Mike Dugan, Rockler vice president and general manager. "Woodworking can be intimidating, and our top priority is to ensure the customers that visit us have the tools necessary to complete their job -- and a large part of that is skill development. We feel the workshop gives us that ability,” says Dugan.

Rockler will exhibit at the AWFS Fair in Las Vegas, July 24-27, 2013 in Las Vegas.
