Job of the Day: Wood and Metal Sculpture Shop SupervisorPHILADELPHIA, PA - University of the Arts is searching for a shop supervisor and lecturer to guide students in the art, media and design department through proper implementation of machinery and procedures. 

In addition to instructing and counseling students in both a classroom and shop setting, the shop supervisor will be responsible for developing administrative procedures for equipment and materials, maintaining machinery, delivering shop orientations for students and faculty, and establishing a culture that promotes the safe use of all facilities.

Candidates should posses a BFA or MFA and at least two years of experience in shop or studio management. A basic working knowledge of woodworking, metal fabrication, mold making, casting and carving. Knowledge of 3D modeling and video editing is also desirable.
