BRIDGEVILLE, PA - Custom architectural millwork, cabinetry and retail fixtures firm Giffin Interior & Fixture Inc., was among finalists in The Pittsburgh Business Times Manufacturer of the Year recognition program for companies with 50-100 employees.  

Headed by Dustin Giffin, president, the 80-employee firm produces millwork, cabinetry, wall paneling, moldings, countertops, nurse stations, reception desks, cash wraps and custom built furniture. Giffin has a new strategic planning process in place, reports the Pittsburgh Business Times, and soon will focus on new markets and expanding in current ones.

Giffin competed against three other firms in its category, and ultimately was bested by Seegrid, a manufacturer of vision-guided automated vehicles for materials handling.

Giffin co-chairs the board of the Certified Custom Woodworkers of America, a consortium of union carpentry and millwork shops. Based in Osh Kosh, WI, CCWA is registered with the American Institute of Architects as a provider of continuing education in millwork, custom woodworking, and architectural woodwork.
