SOMERSET, NJ -- Excitement continues to reign on day two of Cabinets & Closets Expo 2014, held at the Garden State Exhibit Center in Somerset, NJ. Friday's features include more on-the-show-floor demonstrations of software, running machinery and wood components.

Expo demo stage presentations kicked off with Bill Esler, Woodworking Network editorial director, discussing how wood businesses can benefit from crowdfunding. Dave Grulke, executive director of the Cabinet Makers Association, gave a presentation on how wood shops can measure up to their competition with a discussion of automation, employee wages, owners' earnings and more. The last presentation of the day is from Titus Group on how to add soft close action to existing cabinet designs.

The April 10 sold-out tour of Eastern Millworks also was a hit with attendees as they saw the operations of one of the northeast’s most high-end, high-tech architectural woodworking plants.

Cabinets & Closets Expo runs until 3 p.m., Friday, April 11. Contracts have already been signed for the 2015 show, which will be held in Chicago, April 14-16, right after the Stiles EBC in St. Charles, IL.
