Wood Industry Visionary Award Winners Named

All 65 entrants in the AWFS Fair 2013 Visionary Awards were on display at the L:as Vegas Convention Center. Seven winners were announced July 26. LAS VEGAS − Woodworking technology development was honored at the AWFS Fair 2013 last week, as seven exhibiting companies received a Visionary New Product Award by AWFS for product innovation and leadership in the woodworking industry.
The Visionary New Product Awards recognize creativity and innovation as well as leadership in green/environmental product development. Entries are evaluated on quality, production impact, practicality, innovation and user-friendliness.
This year's awards, chosen by a panel of judges representing various areas of the industry, including professional end-users, woodworkers and company owners, were announced at the 2013 AWFS Fair, during an awards ceremony at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Winners were selected from 65 entries submitted by 48 companies. The winners and entrants were also featured in the AWFS Fair TODAY show daily, and in a pre-show digital product and technology publication from WoodworkingNetwork.com

AWFS Fair 2013, which took place July 24-27 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, featured equipment, technology and supplies for furniture, cabinet manufacturers and custom woodworkers.
