transFORM Hires Designer with International PortfolioMANHATTAN, NY -- Custom closet and storage cabinetry designer and manufacturer transFORM hired Daniel Steps to lead its Design, Research and Product Development department.

Daniel, an architect and furniture designer, has more than a decade of international design experience creating showrooms and exhibitions for companies such as German-based Volkswagen and Bosch. “transFORM will develop new and original lines of closet and storage designs that will rival what is available in Europe” says transFORM Co-Founder, Andreas Messis.

For his initial transFORM design, Daniel created a wall unit and media center that contrasts a radiant high-gloss orange with a warm woodgrain for a balanced and modern look. The unit contains a sliding door that alternately hides a television and reveals a shelf. It also features a floating backing panel and inset lighting that enhance the spacious look of the unit. The plentiful floor to ceiling storage, both open and in drawers, provides ample room to store and display books, sculptures and home decor. Opposite the open shelving is a matte black glass fronted cabinet to house your favorite drinks and glassware for quick entertaining.

It will be on display at transFORM's showroom, #708 in the New York Design Center, at 200 Lexington Ave in Manhattan for its event, "What’s New | What’s Next" on September 18th.

Daniel’s future initiatives at transFORM include enhancing the digital workflow of design and production as well as developing an efficient screen to machine manufacturing process that accommodates transFORM’s high level of customization. “It puts us firmly at the forefront of panel processing for the closet and storage industry” says transFORM Co-Founder, Stuart Reisch.

With headquarters in New Rochelle, NY, and a showroom in Manhattan, transFORM creates custom closets, dressing rooms, home offices, libraries, wall units, pantries, media centers, mudrooms, utility rooms, playrooms, garages and much more.
