June Kitchen Cabinet Sales Up 16.2%: KCMA
Kitchen Cabinetry Sales Continued Upswing Through September 2014

RESTON, VA – Kitchen cabinetry and bathroom vanity sales rose 16.2% in June, reports the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association, reflecting an overall rise in new home construction and gains in home remodeling.

The monthly KCMA Trend of Business Survey of its members, found cabinet sales for June rose in all segments compared to June 2012: Stock cabinet sales increased +21.3%; semi-custom sales increased +11% and custom sales increased +19.9%.

Year-to-date sales show an increase of +16.4%, with stock sales up +21.9%, semi-custom sales up +11.2%, and custom sales up +17.2%.

The monthly and year-to-date cabinet sales, reported at KCMA’s blog, were ahead of the May 2013 figures, and represent 18 consecutive months of cabinet sales improvement. KCMA says the figures represent two-thirds of the U.S. cabinet market. Sixty-three percent of KCMA cabinet manufacturer members report sales under $10 million annually
