LAKE TAHOE, CA -- A personalized laundry room, modern kitchen cabinets, custom pet storage niche and much more highlight HGTV's 2014 Dream Home.

The mountain cabin, located in Schaffer's Mill -- a golf and ski community in historic Truckee, CA, near Lake Tahoe, was designed by local architects and features modern and traditional styles throughout the house including the use of a common color -- yellow and shape -- square and modern industrial looks.

The HGTV house, which is 3,200 square feet and has three bedrooms and 3.5 baths also incorporates sliding door systems to separate the bedrooms from the living areas. Wood, slate, steel and glass are also used as part of the design to create a rustic, mountain cabin feel with modern touches.

Fully furnished the HGTV 2014 Dream House includes products from Lumber Liquidators, The Sherwin-Williams Co., Cabinets to Go, and Ethan Allen Global.

The home along with a 2015 GMC Yukon Denali and $250,000 are being given away in HGTV's 2014 sweepstakes. The entire grand prize package is valued at almost $2 million.

Schaffer's Mills is offering public tours of the HGTV Dream Home starting Jan. 9th and every Thursday-Sunday through Feb. 14th.
