EDMONTON, AB – Upper Canada Forest Group has expanded with a LEED-certified warehouse in Edmonton, AB. The operation is led by Martin Clancy.

Since a 1999 start in Calgary under the leadership of Jeff Floyd, its Alberta Division Manager, UCS's Upper Canada Forest Products has continually grown, doubling its size in 2007 as it acquired Cambium Forest Products. Upper Canada Forest Group also doubled the size of its Calgary warehouse in 2013, and this year acquired Atlas Hardwoods of Chino, CA, and Reimer Hardwoods of Alberta.

Parent firm UCS, which does business in the U.S. as Sierra Forest Products, says its new Upper Canada Forest Group facility serves Edmonton's vibrant and established millwork and cabinet industry, for a growing metropolis of almost 1.2 million people. Edmonton is also the stepping off point to many northern Alberta communities, which the company plans to service in the very near future.

UCS Forest Group is an importer, exporter, and distributor of specialty products for the architectural woodworking, commercial and residential furniture, and cabinet-making industries. In addition to Sierra Forest Products in the United States, UCS does business as Upper Canada Forest Products in Canada, UCS Global internationally and A&M Wood Specialty.
