Alliance Door Products Canada Purchases Summit Distributors

Alliance Door Products Canada, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has purchased the assets of Summit Distributors Inc. and will be taking over Summit's distribution business in Edmonton, effective November 5, 2012.

"Lynden Door and Alliance Door Products have had a strong relationship with Summit Distributors for many years now and this is really just the next logical step forward." said Alliance Senior Vice President, John Ridder. "Summit Distributors is a valuable member of the Alberta door and millwork industry and we will continue down the same path. We intend to offer the same high levels of service, support and product excellence that Summit customers have come to expect. In addition, we believe that our company can contribute in new ways and by taking advantage of the scope we have across the country and the many valued relationships we have in the industry."

Summit Distributors will carry on business as usual in the interim period.

Edmonton joins the Alliance Door Products family of Canadian distribution branches in Abbotsford, Calgary, Winnipeg and Ontario. Alliance also has branches in the US: Seattle, Spokane and Portland.

"Alliance Door Products' Opening Opportunities phrase references the wealth of products and services we offer." commented Ridder. "With great brands like Lynden Door, Therma-Tru, Simpson Door and Stallion Door, as well as millwork products from Woodland in Winnipeg, we definitely can deliver the right door and millwork solution. Furthermore, our professional door pre-hanging shops in each location round out our offering and create a single source opportunity for our customers. Shared logistics with unified inventory management complete the Alliance picture."

"We congratulate the management and employees of Summit Distributors for their success and look forward to welcoming them into the Alliance Door Products Canada, Inc. family."
