A lightweight PVC hose that is reinforced with a spring steel wire helix has been introduced by Flexaust. Called Flexadux R-2, this hose is suited for ventilation and fume removal applications in a variety of industries, according to the company. Available in standard 1.25-18-in. I.D. sizes, in 25-ft and 50-ft lengths with plain ends, this hose operates from 20F to 160F. Featuring a 0.020-in. thick wall, the Flexadux hose comes in clear FDA-approved, or UL 94V-0 flame retardant blue. Metric and custom sizes can also be provided, the company says.
