Manufacturing Operations Software Update

20-20 Technologies Inc. has launched the latest version of its comprehensive manufacturing operations solution, Enterprise inSight Version 8, which includes many new features, including master scheduling enhancements to significantly improve efficiency and a new optional multi-plant module. Enterprise inSight Version 8 delivers key functionality to enable furniture manufacturers to better manage their production capacity across multiple plants through real-time planning and interactive scheduling from a single source, says the company. The master scheduling capability allows the manufacturer to easily identify potential bottlenecks in production and proactively manage the workload, resulting in a better managed plant and reduced operating costs. The software answers the industry need to streamline processes and improve efficiency, adds the company, allowing users to quickly and easily improve capacity utilization. The new release also makes available new functionality to outsource components and manufacturing operations. Peak or short-lead time demand can require added resources. The new outsource capability in Enterprise inSight Version 8 allows manufacturers to react quickly to utilize subcontractors and capitalize on short-term price fluctuations in raw material and labor, alleviating dependence on manual procedures. It maximizes the effectiveness of the production process by managing and automating workflows from design through to the order entry and manufacturing stages, says the company.
