About JB Cutting

In the early 1970’s, Bill and JoAnn Filthaut formed a cabinet shop called Filthaut’s Cabinet Shop, Inc. While working out of a 3,000 square foot barn on their residential property, the Filthauts produced everything from kitchen cabinetry, to beauty shop stations, to speaker consoles. In 1995, Bill and JoAnn decided to refocus their efforts into component fabrication. The company moved into a larger manufacturing building and formally changed the name to JB Cutting, Inc.

Under the same ownership, Bill and JoAnn advanced the organization with the help of their children Debbie and BJ. The company underwent a renovation process that including significant building, equipment and software enhancements. By 1996, JB Cutting recognized a need in the local market for thermoformed doors. At that time, some key capital investments were made and the company began to change rapidly.

By the early 2000s JB Cutting had become a nationally preferred thermofoil door manufacturer in the custom closet and kitchen and bath industries. In 2008, under the sole leadership of Debbie and BJ, the company invested heavily in the three dimensional laminate side of the business. With the introduction of a Wemhöner membrane press, JB Cutting’s capabilities grew tremendously. Today, the company is expanding its operations and reaching new markets in commercial and institutional interiors.
