The SnapRays Guide Light takes less than 20 seconds to install and requires no wires or batteries, says the company. Designed to look like and replace the standard outlet cover plate found in many homes, the SnapRays Guide Light provides ambient lighting by night and is unnoticeable by day, while keeping both outlets available for use, adds the company. It is designed to be installed over the standard electrical outlet, says the company, and when installed the patented “Power Extractors” on the back side of the plate slide into the electrical box and around the outlet receptacle making contact with the sides of the outlet. The proprietary technology enables the device to extract power from the receptacle without having to hardwire, plug into, or occupy an outlet, says the company.
