Weinig has developed a new machine technology that can create everything from a simple to complex structured surface using a single oscillating CNC axis on its Powermat Series moulders. Each additional pass through the oscillating spindle will create a more complex structure to a workpiece. Radial movement of the CNC axis is controlled by software to continuously move/oscillate. Oscillation speed is a factor of the combined speed of the CNC axis and feed system feed. A third parameter is the distance that the axis can move - up a to a maximum of 1mm. The software assures that the movement is random. Uses of the technology include furniture, panels, frames, mouldings, window and door frames, playground equipment, garden furniture, decking, WPC, log cabin houses, cladding or siding, and flooring.
