Temple-Inland announced that its GreenLite Fiberboard Door Core is approved for use in the construction of 1-3/4-in., 20-min. fire-rated, Category B doors for single swing or pairs. The cores include an 85% certified recycled content that can contribute to green rating systems such as LEED and the NAHB National Green Building Standard, according to the company. GreenLite is also manufactured with no added formaldehyde, exceeding CARB standards for low-VOC emissions, the company adds.
