Forrest Mfg. offers dampener disks that it says improve cuts and reduce noise. The disks are designed to be mounted next to the saw blade on a saw’s arbor or shaft. According to the company, the dampener disk holds the saw blade rigid so that vibrations are not transmitted to the rim of the teeth.
