PORTABLE BAND SAWMILL

Baker Products introduces the Blue Streak Portable Band Sawmill, Model 3665D featuring a 2-inch band blade and a 65-HP Cummins diesel engine. It offers versatility, ease of use, increased production, and heavy-duty smart design, says the company. The fuel tank is located between the bunks at the front end of the mill and the head can be raised and lowered on both sides at the same time with a computer-controlled ball screw drive system. The throat height capacity is 12” between the blade and the top of the throat with a 36”-diameter log cutting capacity. The portable band sawmill comes in a choice of three power sources: 65 HP diesel engine, 38 HP diesel engine or 30 HP electric motor. The company estimates one man can produce 3,000 to 5,000 board feet per day using the machine and two men can produce 4,000 to 6,000 board feet per day.
