ARLETA, CA — Micro Fence won a Sequoia Award for Product Innovation in the portable tools category, for its Plunge Base and Edge-Guide Package. The award was given at the recent AWFS Fair in Las Vegas.According to Micro Fence, the product offers machine-tool precision to woodworking tasks with 0.001-in. readouts. Introduced last summer in a metric version, the Plunge Base and Edge-Guide package can be used in: dadoing, rabbetting, mortising, v-grooving, slotting/veining, drawer construction, flutes, reeds, parallel dado operations, hinge and lock installations, inlay work, edge profiling, dentil mouldings, sliding dovetails and more.
