Woodworker Tommy 'Mac' MacDonald was a guest in the Woodcraft booth on Aug. 25 at the 2010 International Woodworking Machinery & Furniture Supply Fair (IWF). Woodcraft is the sponsor of his new woodworking show, Rough Cut, which hits the airwaves Oct. 2 on PBS.  This new half-hour series will feature 13 projects from a Shaker step stool to a Trellis table.

On each episode, MacDonald will visit historic places, like the John Adams House, for design inspiration and then head back to his 2,700-square-foot shop to walk viewers through a step-by-step process of building each project. Guest woodworkers will join MacDonald in his shop, including Steve Brown of the North Bennet Street School, MacDonald's alma mater.
