Wood Industry Experts: Share Your Best Practice TipsWoodworking Network is asking industry experts to share their best practices, tips and techniques for manufacturing furniture, cabinets, architectural woodwork, closets and more. The Red Book Resource Guide for Best Practices is looking for articles for possible inclusion in this annual issue, to be published in April 2014.

Submissions can be presented in a standard article format, anecdotal, Q&A format or as 5-10 bullet points; information should not be brand specific. Companies will be credited for supplying the information, with the web site also provided.

Included in the Red Book are strategies for optimizing productivity and profitability in the areas of: solid wood machining and lumber selection, panel processing, cutting tool usage, laminating and veneering, sanding and finishing, component selection, hardware usage, assembly, software systems, moisture detection and more.

Tying it all together,  the online Red Book’s searchable database of more than 2,000 manufacturers and exclusive distributors of hundreds of woodworking equipment and supplies.
