2002 Award Recipients

CWB honors the winners of the ninth annual Design Portfolio Awards competition.

This year's judges of CWB's annual Design Portfolio Award competition had their work cut out for them, with an record 75 entries, spread across seven categories, to choose from. All entrants are being honored for their outstanding craftsmanship and designs.

The winners are as follows:
"Specialty Products" and overall winner, C.F. Martin & Co. Inc., Nazareth, PA, for its D-50 Deluxe guitar;
"Residential Furniture," Levin Studio, San Jose, NM, for the "Leaf" hall table;
"Kitchen/Bath Cabinets," Dutka Design Studio Inc., Chicago, IL, for "antique-looking" kitchen cabinets;
"Commercial/Institutional Furniture," Grand International Designers Group, Skokie, IL, for custom-made jewelry store casework;
"Architectural Millwork," J. Speetjens Inc., Greensboro, NC, for a Biedemeier-style home office;
"Laminate Casework," Custom Millcraft Corp., Cincinnati, OH, for fixtures for the Truliant Federal Credit Union;
In addition, 15 other projects received Honorable Mention Awards.

CWB congratulates all of the winners for their exceptional work. The winning projects are a reflection of the high level of talent, creativity and dedication to quality found throughout the custom woodworking industry today.
