Topics will include understanding gloss coat finishing systems.
MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Wood finishing technology experts will converge at Taurus Craco's equipment showroom near Toronto on November 1 to cover surface preparation as well as coating application of new types of super high luster Italian polyester finishes. The event is coordinated with WMS 2017 to be held November 2-4.

Presenters will include Stefano Tibe, from Italy's Giardina Finishing. The Italian firm debuted new polyester finishing equipment in Hannover, Germany, at Ligna 2017 earlier this year, and Taurus Craco has added the Giardina technology to its lineup. Tibe will explain how polyester coatings are achieved, and the technical aspects of laying down the seamless, gleaming finishes.

Programmed by the University of British Columbia's Centre for Advanced Wood Processing,  it will focus on sanding and surface preparation for finishes of all types.
