Furniture Brands Seeks $5 Million for Bankruptcy Exec Bonuses

Seven senior executives and 48 managers seeing Furniture Brands through its bankruptcy could receive incentives totaling $4 million or more under a request made in Federal Court. Thomasville, Broyhill, Henroden, Lane and other assets have drawn two bidders already.


Tafisa Panel Plant Rail Line On Track To Be Rebuilt

Panel manufacturer Tafisa says the rail line to its plant in Lac-Mégantic will be operational by year end. The spur line serving its giant melamine plant, which handled 60 cars weekly, was closed following a derailment and explosion in July.
