CHINA - The Chinese Wanhua Industrial Group is a manufacturer of MDI resin and has founded the subsidiary Wanhua Ecoboard to develop and produce formaldehyde-free panels made of wood and straw.

Starting with the first straw-based particleboard plant contract signed in 2015, Wanhua Ecoboard and Dieffenbacher are now working on their third project.

With commissioning planned for mid 2018, this new order includes the core package of a straw particleboard plant and will be installed at Wanhua's site in Jingmen in the Chinese province of Hubei.

Also, construction for an OSB plant order in Nanning, China from Guangxi Hengxian Xin Weilin Panel Industry is set to begin in November 2017 with production of the first board scheduled for April 2018. While responsible for the entire electrical system and plant automation, Dieffenbacher will also be supplying the gluing system, the forming station, the CPS, the raw board handling, and the extraction system.

Dieffenbacher continues to grow in the Chinese market as eleven new plants were sold in 2016 alone making a total of nearly 50 CPS plants delivered to China by the company.
