Woodworker and engineer-inventor Andrew Klein has developed something new: parallel clamps that pair up to make a 4-way clamping system for panel glue-ups that are perfectly straight and have aligned seams. This system accomplishes the same thing as expensive specialty clamps, says Klein, with inexpensive modifications to parallel clamps. The modified parallel clamps retain all of their original functionality, Klein says, and it is patent pending. Another of his developments was a shop drawer design.
