I hope someone could help me with my problem. I have difficulty in staining ash. I used Saman water-based stain, but I couldn't get a nice and even surface. Some areas get darker. I have sanded the surface with 150 grit. using lint free roller to apply the stain and cotton rags to wipe off the excess.
