BEDFORD, Va. — Hooker Furnishings has rebranded its Sam Moore product line HF Custom to better represent the company’s growing portfolio of products.To provide additional resources to the rebranding efforts and the leadership team at the Bedford facility, Craig Young, president of Hooker Furnishings’ Bradington-Young division, will assume the additional role of president of HF Custom.  

Upholstery furniture maker Lancaster Inc. plans to relocate and expand with a $5 million investment in a new North Carolina facility.

La-Z-Boy Inc., a global leader in residential furniture, has finalized the planned closure of its Newton, Miss., upholstery manufacturing facility, expected to be effective September 16, 2022. 

Work is well underway at Palliser’s operations in both Winnipeg and Matamoros, Mexico, to increase total North American production capacity by 30 percent in 2022.

Kevin Charles Fine Upholstery will invest $6.571 million to expand operations in New Albany, Mississippi. The project is expected to create 75 jobs within four years.

Design Foundry, LLC, will open a new furniture manufacturing facility in Catawba County, NC, creating 202 new jobs over five years. The company plans to invest more than $3.1 million in the project.

New York state Gov. Kathy Hochul signed legislation that will prohibit the sale of furniture, mattresses, and electronic displays containing what the governor said are dangerous flame retardant chemicals.

TOLLESON, Ariz. – As part of a $1.5 billion investment plan, Ashley Furniture Industries is expanding its furniture manufacturing operations to Tolleson, Arizona, a city in the greater Phoenix area. The company has leased a 225,000-square-foot facility and manufacturing is expected later this month. The company plans to hire more than 200 workers and has begun the hiring process.
