Workplace furniture giant Knoll - number 12 on the FDMC 300 - is undertaking a three-step relocation effort throughout Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Workplace furniture giant Knoll has announced plans to lay off 200 employees and close five of its U.S. showrooms in an effort to cut costs.

EAST GREENVILLE, Penn. - Furniture giant Knoll Inc. said it will cut 275 jobs in order to further reduce operating expenses as it deals with "economic challenges and uncertainty resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the company's business." The location of the job cuts was not disclosed but should be complete by the end of the third quarter. The move is expected to result in annualized savings of approximately $24 million. The announcement was included in Knoll's May 20 SEC filings.

EAST GREENVILLE, Pa. – Knoll Inc. announced it will close the Grand Rapids facility as part of its efforts to consolidate and optimize its manufacturing footprint in North America. More than 200 jobs, approximately 180 hourly and 30 salaried positions, will be impacted.

Knoll, Inc. has acquired Fully, an eCommerce furniture brand specializing in adjustable-height desks, ergonomic chairs and accessories for home offices and small businesses.

Knoll says its acquisition of Muuto will complement the contract furniture giant's product portfolio, expand its range of price points and increase its international presence.
