Lenoir Warehouse Group, which operates a furniture packing and shipping operation for Heritage Furniture, bid $50,000 for the Lenoir, NC, building previously owned by a subsidiary of Furniture Brands International.

Heritage Home Group made official its choice of High Point, NC, for its new corporate headquarters. The re-formed Furniture Brands International said the move will add approximately 300 jobs to the local economy.

Heritage Home Group is closing the Drexel Heritage plant in Morganton, NC, resulting in the layoff of 87 employees. The residential furniture plant is scheduled to close July 31.
