CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Winners of the 2019 Top Shelf Closet Design Awards were celebrated at a reception in the NASCAR Hall of Fame Museum during the 2019 Cabinets & Closets Conference & Expo. The event was sponsored by JB Cutting, CCF Industries and KCD Software.
This year’s Best of Show prize goes to Donna Siben, Closet Organizing Systems, Bartlett, Illinois, who will receive $500 as well as a Top Shelf Design Awards plaque. Siben also took home the top prize in the Closet: Laminate Over 18 linear feet category for “Revitalize, Revamp and Reorganize Master Closet” and the honorable mention Specialty award for the project “The Dirt Stops Here.”
The Top Shelf Closet Design Awards are given annually to honor designers for their creative closet and home organizational designs. Each entry is judged based on the following criteria: 50 percent appearance/design (emphasizing design creativity) and 50 percent functionality and quality of construction/materials. Top prize and honorable mentions were awarded in the following categories:
• Garage: under 600 square feet; Garage: over 600 square feet
• Home Office: under 150 square feet; Home Office: over 150 square feet
• Closet: Closet: Laminate under 18 linear feet; Laminate over 18 linear feet; Closet: Wood over 18 linear feet; Closet: Reach in
• Specialty: (craft, pantry, laundry, mudroom)
• Wine Cellar
