The demand for kitchen cabinets will increase 6.6% annually to $16 billion by 2018 primarily due to the rebound in the U.S. housing market. Another key factor is consumer demand for more storage space.

Construction Job Growth Shows Housing Leading Recovery

Construction jobs spiked in January, explaining strong attendance at the 2014 Builders and KBIS Shows. A Feb. 7 report shows 48,000 jobs were created in residential building last month. These cabinetry, flooring, hardware and millwork items from the show reflect that recovery.


Nonresidential Building To Rise 5.8 Percent in 2014

A Consensus Construction Forecast Panel predicts commercial building will rise 5.8% in 2014, led by hotels and retail facilities. The semi-annual forecast from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) predicts 8% growth in 2015.
