TORONTO -- Canada’s largest woodworking show will feature daily sessions on succeeding in closet and home storage markets. Opportunities to begin selling or grow sales in the closet market will be the topics of a pair of conference sessions that will be offered at the Woodworking Machinery & Supply Expo, October 27-29 at the Direct Energy Centre in Toronto.

Jeff Klein, president of the Association of Closet and Storage Professionals (ACSP) and owner of the Closet Specialist of Savannah, GA, will share his closet experience in both sessions. In the first, “Diversifying into the Closet & Storage Industry,” Klein will discuss how cabinetmakers and other woodworking pros can learn how to generate sales in this unique market Klein’s second presentations, “Marketing Your Closet Business in the Real Estate Market,” will focus on ideas for established closet companies to grab the attention of real estate agents and house sellers to utilize Closet & Storage Universal Design as a sales tool. Both of these special one-hour sessions will be presented each day.

The expanded WMS Conference program will also feature presentations by representatives of the Cabinet Makers Assn. (CMA) on Profitable Estimating and Bidding and Marketing and Advertising. Also, members of the ACSP will discuss opportunities in the closet industry. The ACSP and CMA are conference partners for the 2012 Closets and Custom Cabinet Conferences being planned for February 15-17 in Austin, TX.

The WMS expo floor will include a wide variety of woodworking machinery, software and supply demonstrations and displays of interest to manufacturers of closets, garages, cabinets and other home storage products. Exhibits will include many products introduced at Germany’s Ligna and interzum shows and at the AWFS Fair in Las Vegas.
