In addition to building custom kitchen cabinetry and home furnishings, Brian Grabski of Designed and Made specializes in directing woodworking videos.

In this short cinematic demonstration, Grabski puts together a very shapely range hood for a custom kitchen in St. Paul, Minnesota. For the structural parts, he had pieces routed out of 3/4″ MDF on a CNC router. He uses 3/8″ bending plywood to achieve the bell shape on the hood and covered the face in paper-backed veneer.
