Flap wheels are highly suited to sanding contoured or profiled surfaces. Listed below are some of the reasons to use flap wheels in the sanding/finishing process.

1 Edge Break When a cabinet door is ready for stain and sealer coat it’s important sharp edges are eliminated.

2 De-nibbing Use of flap wheel sanding prior to stain or priming will eliminate loose fibers.

3 Uniform Stain Color Sand 3D products evenly. Your pore opening will be uniform and as a result you get a superior color balance.

Looking for a method for removing small fibers in carved sign letters. Would a flap wheel work without destroying fine detail?

Looking for a way to simulate a sandblasted sign face without using a sandblaster. Will a flap wheel sander do this?
