Flatline finishing producer Robert Bürkle GmbH now offers UV/LED liquid coating technology to the North American market. The company says air-cooled UV/LED curing technology enables the curing of UV coatings with a drastically reduced energy consumption and significantly reduced workpiece surface temperature. The new UV/LED modules have a peak irradiance of 8 W/cm2 and a wavelength of 395nm. The machine has a height-adjustable lamp unit mounted on the transport system,  and a working width of 700, 1300 or 1600mm. Advantages of the UV/LED system include reduced energy consumption and a decreased risk of uncured photo initiators, the company says.
