It reduces the tedium of hand sanding, speeds up the sanding process and produces more consistent results, says SuperMax Tools. The 19-38 Drum Sander comes standard on an Open Stand. The drum is pre-wrapped with 80 grit sandpaper. Simple to use alignment features are featured, including one nut for adjusting the conveyor to parallel the sanding head, making aligning the conveyor to the sanding head fast and easy. The 19-38 drum sander has an indexed alignment setting for narrow and wide stock. When sanding stock wider than 19”, the index lever will properly adjust the conveyor and easy height adjustments are achieved with a thrust bearing below the handle and a nut positioned above, which prevents the drum from moving out of the set position while sanding. The extra-wide conveyor is designed to properly support stock over 19” wide. The conveyor table is 22’ wide to add support to the work piece. The drum carriage is bolted to the base, preventing any movement or alignment issues, adds the company. Additional features include the Intellisand Technology, which automatically adjusts conveyor speed based on the load and prevents gouging, damaging or burning of stock while providing an even finish even with varying grain pattern and density. The abrasive conveyor belt offers an ideal grip for raw wood and gives users the ability to accommodate stock that is shorter or thinner.
