Generac Power Systems introduces its new diesel-powered portable generator, the XD 5000E, designed for the high intensity needs associated with professional use. Generac said the XD5000E is ideal for use by professionals or contractors needing to power tools, lights and other equipment and is engineered for the demands of construction jobsites. It features a touch electric start and a large capacity 12 gallon fuel tank with fuel gauge, which provides a runtime of 32 hours at 50% load, reducing jobsite interruptions to refuel, adds Generac. Generac has incorporated its patented TruePower Technology, which allows electricity to be generated with low total harmonic distortion for clean and smooth operation of electronics and equipment, says the company. Additional features include an integrated lifting eye for easy transportation and security on jobsites; a durable, fully welded 1-1/4 steel frame for maximized durability and a Tier IV compliant, industrial grade diesel engine, which offers efficiency and less maintenance, says the company, along with a low-oil shutdown. It also features an hour meter that tracks maintenance intervals. Also featured are four 120V 20A GFCI outlets; one 120V 30A Twist Lock; one 120/240 20A Twist Lock and a 120/240V selector, allowing full 120V poser or 120/240V power output. Cost of the XD5000E is $3,699.
